Welcome to Vortex2learning

I am so glad you made it here—your go to place for differentiated educational resources and learning materials for your elementary K-5 Special Education Classrooms. The lessons and activities you’ll find here are also wonderfully suited for early learners in Kindergarten and 1st grade regular education classrooms. I aim to bring you classroom materials in content areas to help your students thrive in and out of your classrooms. That being said, all the activities, lessons, printables, worksheets and workbooks are created with best practices in mind, modified and aligned to the Common Core standards so that all students may meet the same standards through a pathway that meets their needs.

About Me

Hello friends! I am Ramona Diaz, M.Ed, M.A., a former Special Education Teacher and the author of Vortex 2 learning.  My elementary childhood education combined with my social/organizational psychology background gives me a unique perspective on what motivates a child/student to learn and what types of educational materials will enhance that learning opportunity to bring about the best outcome for that child. I taught in the NYC public school system in a self-contained classroom with students on the autism spectrum and other disabilities for more than a decade.

Having said that, I aim to lighten your load and lessen your “struggle” by bringing you instructional materials that are student friendly and student centered, differentiated —Common Core aligned, research based and with best practices in mind!  I got you!💛
